Cory Andrews grew up in South Jersey. As Class President, he has showcased leadership skills and public speaking abilities that were the envy of the school. After matriculating to Rider University, Cory continued this track as he pursued two degrees. While I graduated Magna Cum Laude with Business Honors as an Accounting and Sports Management double-major, I found time to be the co-Chair of the Clubs and Organizations Committee, participate in the weekly radio show "Around The League" on 107.7 The Bronc, become famous for being "The Voice of Rider Sports" as the Public Address Announcer at almost every Rider University Division I sporting event, participate in an analytics internship for the Rider University Men's Basketball Team, call games for the 2016 and 2017 Bridgeport, Connecticut Women's Basketball Regionals hosted by Fairfield University and the University of Connecticut for games involving UConn, Oregon, Texas, UCLA, and Mississippi State, become an Enterprise Operations Intern for Lockheed Martin, earn an internship with prestigious government and defense contractor Lockheed Martin from July-September 2016, and write my Honors Thesis on my life's work on finding a predicted model of compensation for NBA players!
After graduating with my Master of Accountancy in May 2018, I was hired as an Accountant for Lockheed Martin's Missiles & Fire Control business area. In this role, I am overseeing normal month-end activities such as account reconciliations and financial reporting while I moved to Orlando, FL less than two months after graduation.
In May 2020, the boredom during the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent quarantine resulted in the start of me streaming on Twitch. While it was just an effort to showcase how much fun my friends and I were having on a daily basis with video games, my following rapidly grew because of my daily offerings. Since May 19, 2020, I have not missed a day of streaming, even amidst WiFi issues in August 2020. The channel currently has 86 followers and has experienced highs such as over 14,000 monthly minutes watched, 36 live views during my last Overwatch marathon on August 7, 2020, and 993 minutes watched on July 24 during another Overwatch marathon. The notable games include Overwatch, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Pokemon Sword, and Mario Kart 8. Events included a weekly six hour stream on Friday nights of Overwatch.
On June 7, 2020, I began The Cory Andrews Podcast, a mostly sports-themed offering via Anchor that would address the latest sports news, preview upcoming games and seasons, re-draft popular drafts in multiple leagues, and even review albums in my "Best Of" series. The podcast dropped once a week on Sundays (the MLB season preview got a special Wednesday episode) until mid-August when I returned to NJ.
Of course, many of those around me will not hesitate to tell you I am among the largest sports fans they have ever met with deep, comprehensive analysis in a wealth of areas from salary cap management, roster construction, player performance, and statistical analysis in sports ranging from basketball to baseball, football to soccer, and more! My ultimate goal is to become at least the General Manager of a professional sports team within the NBA, NFL, or Major League Baseball! I hope that you see all I have to offer through this website!
