LeBron James

Cleveland Cavaliers

2015-16 Season Record: 57-25 (NBA Champions; +4 wins from 2014-15)

G Matthew Dellavedova--> Bucks

G Dahntay Jones

C Sasha Kaun--> Retired

C Timofey Mozgov--> Lakers

Now that Cleveland is off the schneid, it's all about repeating with a sustainable roster for LeBron and the rest of the Cavs. Kaun did not really contribute much to the cause this season, but the biggest (and really only) loss this offseason was Dellavedova to the Bucks. This leaves sophomore Jordan McRae and 2nd round rookie (and 5'9 in shoes) Kay Felder from Oakland as the potential backup options behind Kyrie Irving.

SG DeAndre Liggins (D-League)

SF Mike Dunleavy (Traded from Bulls)

C Chris Andersen (Grizzlies)

The addition I like the most is Birdman, who could provide some added physicality outside of Tristan Thompson in the low psot and rebounding. Dunleavy can add some shooting provided he stays healthy, which did not go to plan as a member of the Bulls last year.

Draft Picks: PG Kay Felder (54th)

Team Needs: Backup PG, SG

Felder must have had a fan in the Cleveland front office, who paid as much in cash for the 54th pick as the Warriors paid to draft Patrick McCaw with the 38th pick. Felder, although small in stature (about my height!), is smart with the basketball and possesses a nice jump shot that fits right in with the Cavs shooters. The hope is that his defensive presence as a nosy pest can lead to steals and added breakaway baskets.

Player Decisions:

SG DeAndre Liggins (1.02 million non-guaranteed)--> Cut

PG Jordan McRae (.87 million non-guaranteed)--> Cut

As good as Liggins has been in the D-League as a 3-and-D player, I cannot see him cracking a tough rotation along the wing unless he gets hot in the preseason. McRae, a former 76ers draft pick under Sam Hinkie, went off in games near the end of the regular season, which shows his scoring touch. However, I'm not sure he gets a spot on the roster even though he is LeBron-endorsed. Look for some last-minute trades or waiver claims to fill out the roster in Cleveland.
