Draymond Green

Stephen Curry

Golden State Warriors

2015-16 Season Record: 73-9 (+6 wins from 2014-15)

Departures:

SG Leandro Barbosa--> Suns

G/F Brandon Rush--> Timberwolves

F Harrison Barnes--> Mavericks

C Andrew Bogut--> Traded to Mavericks

C Festus Ezeli--> Trail Blazers

C Marreese Speights--> Clippers

The Warriors decided to shake up their supporting cast in the wake of losing Game 7 to the Cavaliers. The biggest losses will be the rim presences of Andrew Bogut and Festus Ezeli and the versatility of Harrison Barnes, even if he never grew to become the Black Falcon superstar he was projected to be in high school. Barbosa went back to the Suns and Mo Buckets decided to back up DeAndre Jordan in LA.

Additions:

SF Kevin Durant (Thunder)

F/C David West (Spurs)

C JaVale McGee (Mavericks)

C Zaza Pachulia (Mavericks)

The only additions that matter are in the frontcourt, where Kevin Durant and Zaza Pachulia become offensively-focused starters next to Curry, Thompson, and Green. David West becomes the new backup to Zaza after playing for the Spurs last season. JaVale McGee has a chance to make the team (and a good one at that).

Draft Picks: C Damian Jones (30th), SG Patrick McCaw (38th)

Team Needs: Backup G

As Festus Ezeli left for Portland, another 1st round center from Vanderbilt took his place in Damian Jones. Jones had a much better college team as Wade Baldwin (17th pick to Memphis) joined him as high draft picks. Pat McCaw is an interesting pick as the team essentially bought the pick from Milwaukee. A steal machine, McCaw will provide key depth with his 6'10 wingspan.

Player Decisions:

C JaVale McGee (.98 million non-guaranteed)--> Cut

The talent and athleticism would play well from the center position, but I just believe there are too many players contributing in the low post for him to make the squad.

Draft and Stash Prospects:
